Cybersecurity and Digital Transformation Seminar: Multidimensional Perspectives from Top Experts

On the morning of October 18th, we – Spatial Decisions Vietnam, in collaboration with the Training and Consulting Center for Information Technology and Communication under Hanoi Department of Information and Communications, organized a seminar titled “Cybersecurity for Businesses in the Digital Transformation Era.” The objective of the seminar was to help businesses understand the importance of cybersecurity and raise awareness of the opportunities and challenges in ensuring cybersecurity during the digitalizing process.

Director of the Hanoi Department of Information and Communications, Mr. Nguyen Viet Hung, delivered an opening speech at the seminar and emphasized that digital transformation is an inevitable trend that is happening strongly worldwide. In order to effectively carry out digital transformation, it must be implemented in a comprehensive and holistic manner, with special emphasis on ensuring information security. He hopes that the seminar will help businesses gain a comprehensive understanding of information security and choose suitable solutions to protect information during the digital transformation process.

At the seminar, Dr. Le Quang Minh, Deputy Head of the Institute of Information Technology at the National University of Hanoi, shared information about implementing information security in businesses and the crucial role of information security in the development of businesses during the digital transformation process.

In addition, Mr. Nguyen Hoai Nam, Senior Security Consultant at Verichains, a subsidiary of VNG Corporation, analyzed various forms of cyber attacks on mobile applications and proposed comprehensive solutions to protect mobile applications for businesses.

Regarding Vietnam Space Solutions Company, Mr. Bui Huy Hoang, Head of the Information Technology Department, represented expert Ramkumar Kashyap in delivering a presentation on the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in ensuring information security. According to Mr. Hoang, AI can help businesses quickly detect and respond to cybersecurity threats, while also analyzing large-scale data that humans cannot achieve. He also suggested that businesses should have a comprehensive assessment of their current information security infrastructure to identify strengths, weaknesses, and areas where AI can add value.

Speaker Lakshmi Narasimhan R, Head of Information Security at Intellect Design in India, discussed the integration of information security in the digital transformation process of the financial, banking, and insurance sectors.

The seminar achieved positive results and provided an opportunity for businesses, management agencies, and IT experts to exchange experiences and solutions to promote safe and effective digital transformation.

The seminar attracted the participation of leaders from various departments and sectors of Hanoi, as well as institutes and organizations specializing in information security, along with a significant presence of IT companies and startups.
